Volunteers Needed


This page will list events that we are calling for Volunteers, due to the nature of some the activities we are sorry to say that we may only be able to accommodate a limited number, other events will be the more the better.

Paint a Peace Pole

Date:- 24th August 2017

Time:- Between 09:30 and 17:30

Venue:- Grass Roots office, High Town Methodist Church, 49 High Town Rd, LU2 0BW

We are looking for around 8 Volunteers to paint a pole (it is an 8ft fence post in truth), in the FoHT Colours, designs up to the volunteers on the day.

The pole will be planted along with others prepared by other community groups and schools, in the soon to be created Peace Garden, that is alongside High Town Methodist Church.  Click here to find out more about the Peace Garden.

The painting will take place in the Grass Roots office, and we are looking for people who can pop in and do some work for an hour or two during the day, we are not expecting people to be there the whole day.

Sorry, can only accommodate up to 8 people on this event.

 

Be a Marshal at Luton Half Marathon

Date:- Sunday 1st November

Time of Meet:- 08.30

Venue:- Outside Town Hall

FoHT has been invited by Signposts to arrange a group of volunteers to represent the group, by marshalling a section of the Luton Half Marathon, a section of which runs through the High Town Ward. More about the Half Marathon here.

We are awaiting more detailed information on exactly how this will work from Signpost.

Are you a keen runner?
